Tata Motors has announced the launch of the new variant of Safari Storme in India with a price tag of Rs 13.25 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Safari Storme VX has been launched in both 4×2 and 4×4 drive options. Powered by the 2.2 litre VARICOR 400 engine, the Safari Storme VX is tuned to churn out 154 bhp at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque at 1,750-2,500 rpm, mated to six-speed manual transmission. The Safari Storme VX can accelerate from 0–100 kmph in less than 13 seconds with new engine and claimed to deliver a fuel efficiency of 13.9 kmpl. The Safari Storme VX comes fitted with Limited Slip Differential (LSD) which enables the vehicle to negotiate any surface with ease.

While the new variant of the model remains the same as the current one in terms of style and design, the infotainment system gets updated to the new integrated CONNECTNEXT system with 6-speaker surround, speed dependent volume control, Bluetooth hands free, CD/MP3/AUX/USB connectivity and a reverse parking sensor display. There is also new multifunction steering wheel with integrated controls.
The Safari Storme range is available in four variants -- VX, EX and LX and in five colours - Arctic Silver, Urban Bronze, Pearl White, Astern Black and Arctic White.
