Tata Motors' much-awaited GenX Nano Easy Shift (AMT) is ready to take to the roads on 19 May.
With its Tata Nano AMT, the company hopes to restore its market in India. Nano GenX is the first in the Nano line-up to come equipped AMT and also with openable boot lid. The company has already released the images of the new Nano and the only thing that is actually left to see is its new price tag.
The new Nano Genx AMT is available for booking in the country, with special offers for the current Nano customers. Under the hood, the car will get the same 624 cc twin cylinder petrol engine, which can dish out 38PS of power and 51Nm of torque. The new Nano avatar of Tata's least-expensive model will be offered in both manual and AMT variants. While the manual variants will get four-speed manual gearbox, the range top model will get AMT with a mileage of 23.60 kmpl and 21.9 kmpl, respectively.
To be offered in seven body paints, including the new colour shade Sangria Red, Nano GenX will get new styling in the front and rear profile. The model will get new front and rear bumpers with smoked headlight and Infinity motif theme. It also includes features like new steering wheel, new seat cover, and chrome touch on the AC vents. The new Nano will also be getting Creep function that would help the vehicle to move at a slow pace when in traffic, making it suitable for City driving.
Expected to be priced around ₹2.75 lakh, the new Nano GenX AMT is likely to get minimal waiting period in India.
