New Suzuki GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R launched in India; check out prices, features and more

Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the new GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R in India at Rs. 19 lakh and Rs. 22 lakh respectively (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).

The new GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R come powered by a new 1000 cc, inline, four-cylinder engine, which is smaller and lighter with an increased and broader power range. The GSX-R1000 is the first model to feature Suzuki Racing Variable Valve Timing from Suzuki's MotoGP race bikes. The engine churns out 199hp of power at 13,200rpm and 117.6Nm of peak torque at 10,800rpm.

The new Suzuki GSX-R1000 comes in Metallic Triton Blue and Metallic Mat Black colour options while the GSX-R1000R gets Metallic Triton Blue and Glass Sparkle Black colours.

The new motorcycles are built around a new chassis, which features Showa Big Piston Forks, Brembo monoblock front caliper and Bridgestone RS10 Radial Tyres. Other features of the bikes include 10 level Motion Track TCS System with ABS (Antilock braking System), LED headlights and full LCD instrument cluster.
