Sony Playstation users now have lots to cheer about as a new Steam Client update has officially added support for a highly expected gaming element. This new update is now live and running across the world.
What the latest update does is add support for the important DualShock 4 controller for PS4. This requires manual enabling to achieve you can navigate to the Big Picture Settings and enable DualShock 4 controller in 'Add/Test Controller settings'. These new changes are applicable after you have physically interfaced your DualShock 4 via the USB.
An advantage of the Steam support for DualShock 4 PS4 controllers is the fact that you are empowered to operate the customisation options in the same way as that of a conventional Steam controller. With the Steam support, you can also map the trackpad, gyro and buttons to the keyboard, mouse, or x-input outputs and can make use of action sets, touch menus, radial menus, and more.
Apart from the support for the DualShock 4 controller, the new Steam update also introduces the new Joystick Mouse game mode that provides for an easy operation of stick-based controllers.
