Motorola has reportedly released a new software OTA (Over-The-Air) update to the 2014 edition Moto G to fix some bugs.
Some Reddit forum members owning Moto G (Gen 2) have confirmed that they just received a minor firmware update to their smartphone.
According to the screenshot (courtesy, Android Origin), the update (build number: 22.21.16) is just 60.9MB in size. Though there are no change-log details, many believe this to be a software patch to fix the memory issue, which used to bug users when doing multi-tasking on the smartphone.
Whenever the RAM space went under 300MB, some apps got closed abruptly. It is learnt that this issue was first noticed soon after Moto G (2014) got updated to v4.4.4 KitKat. It was expected to get fixed by 5.0 Lollipop, but the problem continued to persist. Now, this minor update seems to have finally fixed it.
"The phone is just snapier, no doubt about that. No home screen refreshes, no apps killed. Mind you, i had it only for a couple of hours, animations are smoother... This seems to be it," said a user going by the moniker, daTzee.
