"May the force be with us!" While the fans are counting days till its release, the final trailer of Star Wars Rogue One has arrived.
The story revolves around the Rebel Alliance who decides to try and steal design plans for the Death Star, after the creation of the Empire.
Along with the glimpse of the legendary dark Sith Lord, Dark Vader, the final trailer also shed light on a human sized new droid K-250.
The droid, voiced by Alan Tudyk, is an Imperial security droid reprogrammed to serve the Rebel Alliance. He is touted for his ability to blend in at Imperial installations and outposts. In the trailer, he tells Rebel soldier Jyn (Felicity Jones), "I'll be there for you. The captain said I had to."
The sneak peak reveals that K-2SO has the potential to kill a group of Stormtroopers with just a single blast.
The standalone film takes place in a time between Star Wars: Episode III-Revenge of the Sith and the original film Star Wars: Episode IV-A New Hope, and focuses on the formation of the Rebel Alliance and their mission to steal the plans to the Death Star.
The film stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Jiang Wen, and Forest Whitaker.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is scheduled to release in theatres on December 14, 2016.
