German luxury carmaker Porsche is all set to introduce its new 911 range in India. The company will pull the wraps off its new 911 in the country on June 29. The new Porsche 911 will include four models -- 911 Carrera Cabriolet, 911 Carrera S, 911 Turbo and the 911 Turbo S Cabriolet.
To be brought to India as completely built units (CBU), the new Porsche 911 range will come with minor cosmetic changes. While under the hood the 911 Carrera Cabriolet and 911 Carrera S will get a flat-six 3.0-litre twin-turbo engine, the 911 Turbo and the 911 Turbo S Cabriolet will come powered by a 3.8-litre flat-six twin-turbo engine.
In the 911 Carrera Cabriolet, the 3.0-litre engine is tuned to churn out 370hp of power with 450Nm of torque and in the 911 Carrera S, it can churn out 420hp and 500Nm of torque.
On the other hand, the 3.8-litre mill in the 911 Turbo can generate 540hp of power; the same can make 580hp of power in the 911 Turbo S Cabriolet. All the engines will come paired to Porsche's PDK dual-clutch gearbox as standard.
As for features, the new 911 will get LED daytime running lights, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with a 7-inch infotainment display and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC).
The new 911 is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 1.5 crore to Rs 3 crore in India.
