Malayalam film audience is getting ready to throng the theaters with the releases of "Koothara" by Srinath Rajendran and "Angry Babies in Love" by Saji Surendran.
"Koothara," is about three friends Koobrin (Bharath), Tarun (Tovino Thomas) and Ram (Sunny Wayne). The film talks about their journey and experiences. The film also has Mohanlal in an extended cameo role.
"Koothara" has already become popular in social networking sites with the different look in which Mohanlal is presented. "Mohanlal sir's look is definitely a new experience for the audience and this is something which they have never seen before. From a filmmaker's point of view, Mohanlal sir's look complimented the script of the film. I am sure audience will love it," said Srinath Rajendran, the director of "Koothara".
Dulquer Salman, who started his career with Srinath Rajendran's "Second Show," is given the narrator's role in the film. "Koothara" also have a big star cast with Bhavana (as Swathi), Janani Iyer (as Noora), Gauthami Nair (as Roshini), Madhyrima (as Sheishta), Baburaj, Ranjini, Neena Kurup and Arun Benny. The film is scripted by Vini Vishwa Lal and cinematography is done by Pappu. The film is produced by Shahul Hameed Marikar under the banner of Marikar films. "Koothara" is set for its release on 13 June.
Another film that is lined up for this week is "Angry Babies in Love" directed by Saji Surendran. The film is about Jeevan (Anoop Menon) and Sara (Bhavana) who fall in love. Jeevan is a photographer from a middle class family, whereas, Sara is is a rich planter's daughter. They elope to Mumbai and get married against their parent's wishes. They starts to live together and soon will realize that life after marriage is not smooth as they expected it to be. The ego clashes between them lead to twists and turns in their life which is the plot of the film.
Saji Surendan and Krishna Pujappura duo is known for comedy films like "Ivar Vivahitharayal", "Happy Husbands" and "Husbands in Goa." With this new project, they are coming back with a family drama narrated in a humorous way. The pairing of Anoop Menon and Bhavana also adds flavour to the film and is expected to strike a chord with the audience. Meanwhile, the trailer of the film already received good responses from the audience.
"Angry Babies in Love" releasing on 14 June is guaranteed with the star casts of Arun, Nishanth Sagar, P Balachandran, Shaju, Noby, Anushree, Muktha, Parvathy Nair and Reshma. The film is produced by Darsan Ravi under the banner of Dimac Creations and the script is done by Krishna Pujappura, whereas, cinematography is handled by Anil Nair. The music of the film is done by Bijilal and has already made it to the hit charts of the year.
