At a time when it is expected that Reliance Jio's Jio Welcome Offer would come to an end in just about more than a month from now, for new customers, yet another LYF handset is now official. This device is called the LYF Water 9 whose major USP is its Jio SIM compatibility with which it is possible to enjoy free voice calling across India and internet at LTE speeds.
It seems that the LYF Water 9 is yet to get a traditional Reliance launch as its availability details are yet to surface. Nonetheless, Amazon India has listed this smartphone; the claimed pricing is Rs 8,474.
Another notable aspect about the Jio SIM-compatible Reliance LYF Water 9 is its support for important Jio apps such as the JioCinema, JioTV and JioNewsPaper; these would be offered for free till December 31.
However, the technical specifications of the new Reliance LYF Water 9 do not seem to be astounding by any means. Here are a few of the key aspects that you should take note of:
- 5.5-inch display having resolutions of 1080 x 1920 with pixel density of 401 ppi
- Android 5.1.1 (lollipop) operating system
- 1.3 Ghz octa-core SoC
- 13 MP rear camera
- 5 MP front camera
- 2GB RAM
- 16 GB internal storage
- MicroSD card slot for expansion of internal storage up to 32GB
- LTE, HSPA, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi and microUSB connectivity
- 2800mAh battery
The LYF Water 9 joins a recent release; which is the LYF F1 that is priced at Rs 13999. USP of this handset is its ability to support carrier-aggregation (CA). For the uninitiated, CA enhances data transfer rates which directly results in you getting to experience faster web browsing. CA technology is also claimed to have a positive impact on the battery life of the smartphone.
