It seems that Chinese smartphone brand Huawei would launch a new smartphone that is now rumoured to be a more affordable sibling to the company's Honor 6X phone. The new handset would apparently be termed Honor 6S.
Now, as per available details, various technical specifications of the purported Huawei Honor 6S have also surfaced, and going by these details, the smartphone would incorporate the budget Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 Soc along with a display that is said to lie somewhere in the 5-5.5-inch measurement range.
If latest rumours are anything to go by, then Honor 6S would also offer 4G-LTE connectivity and would be priced approximately $125. The launch date of this smartphone is pegged as January 2017 which is not too far away from now.
As far as other technical details are concerned, Honor 6S would also offer a custom fingerprint scanner and only one camera. Also, it is rumoured that Honor 6S would offer Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system out of the box with eligibility to receive Android 7.0 (Nougat) as an OS update.
In related Huawei news, prominent handsets viz. Mate8, P9, P9 Plus, P9 Lite, Nova and Nova Plus are slated to receive Android Nougat as an OS update as early as during the early part of 2017. Rollout of Nougat to these smartphones is expected to begin from January 2017.
