Details of the rumoured HTC One A9 (aka Hima Aero) have surfaced online, giving new insights on the upcoming phone. Twitter spy Evan Blass (@evleaks) has claimed that the phone will come packed with the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 series SoC (System on Chip), not MediaTek Helio X20 Deca-core, as previously reported.
The HTC device will have 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, five-inch full HD AMOLED display, finger-print sensor, metal casing, 13mp main camera, 4 ultra-pixel front snapper and a 2,150 mAh battery, Blass said, hinting the phone will not be a flagship, but an upper mid-range grade phone.
The new report has come as a surprise to many fans because HTC CEO Cher Wang himself had confirmed that the company will launch a new marquee (Hero) phone in the fourth quarter this year.
According to reports, HTC One A9 will get unveiled in November and be made available in six colours.
That being said, we just can't assume that HTC will not launch a second flagship smartphone this year, because the company is hosting an event on 29 September in China.
Word on the street is that two handsets will be unveiled next week and one will be called Butterfly 3. We just have to wait for a few more days to really know what HTC has in store for fans. Stay tuned for more updates.
