Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC reportedly launched new Desire 828 model in India.
Mumbai-based mobile phone retailer Manish Khatri (via Twitter) has claimed to have received shipments of the Desire 828 (dual SIM) with 3GB RAM and 32GB memory from HTC and is now on sale for Rs. 19,990.
For the uninitiated, Desire 828 (dual SIM) made its debut in India way back in December 2015. It came with 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage for the same price of Rs. 19,990.
Except the RAM and storage capacity, rest of the features remain the same. It sports 5.5-inch full HD screen and runs Android Lollipop OS powered by MediaTek octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt storage, 13MP camera, 4µp front-snapper and 2,800mAh battery.
HTC Desire 828 also comes with 13MP primary camera with autofocus, OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), LED flash and a 4µp (HTC UltraPixel) front camera with fixed focus.
In a related development, HTC has confirmed the flagship smartphone HTC 10 with Snapdragon 820 will indeed be released in India.
Soon after the launch of HTC 10 and 10 Lifestyle on April 12, the company listed only the latter device on its India device portfolio webpage leading to speculations that the company may not release flagship model in India.
