Taiwan-based smartphone-maker has come up with a new HTC 10 (aka One M10) teaser revealing camera details.
In the image, we see two camera modules placed side-by-side hinting HTC 10 might come with dual-cameras, but the teaser caption – "World First, World Class, Front and Back. You'll see. #powerof10," indicates otherwise. We believe HTC 10's primary camera and secondary snapper on the front might come with the same MP count.
Even the recently leaked HTC 10 press shots have shown the device with a single camera module on the back with dual-tone LED flash and laser autofocus.
If we dial the clock back to 2014, the flagship HTC One M8 came with a dual-camera setup and it failed to impress critics. So, we believe that the company will not risk denting the company's image by implementing a failed strategy again.
The teaser image and cryptic caption may look contradictory, but the company's promise of packing a world class camera in HTC 10 has certainly incited excitement among fans.
Expected features of HTC 10:
HTC 10, internally known has Project Perfume, is said to feature 5.2-inch QHD (2560x1440p) display, Android Marshmallow OS, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC (System on Chip), 4GB RAM, 64GB/128GB with option for expansion via micro SD card.
As far as the camera is concerned, it is expected to house 12MP Sony IMX377 camera with a 1.55mm lens, laser autofocus and PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus). On the front, it is speculated to feature Samsung's 5MP UltraPixel (s5k4e6) camera.
The marquee phone is rumoured to make its debut April 19. Stay tuned for more updates.
