Honda India has started teasing its all new Jazz prior to its launch in the country, which is confirmed for July.
The company has released a new video, featuring the American version of the new Jazz, which is called Fit in the USA. Though the Indian versionwould flaunt a design similar to its global counterparts, the engine line-up would be different.
Engine
The new Jazz in India is expected to get a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that powers Amaze and Brio that can generate power of 87bhp with a torque of 110Nm at 4,800rpm and a 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel motor that can pump 100PS of power and 200Nm torque. The petrol version would come fitted with CVT and paddle shifters.
Competitors
Based on Honda's 'Exciting H Design' philosophy, new Honda jazz premium hatchback will mainly rival Hyundai's Elite 20 and Maruti Swift in India. Other competitors of Honda new Jazz in India will include Volkswagen Polo and Fait Punto Evo.
Price
Jazz, a model that was withdrawn from the Indian market owing to poor sales, is expected to get an aggressive price tag in its comeback in July. The car, which is coming with 90% localisation, is speculated to fall in the price range of ₹5 to ₹7.5 lakh. The bookings for the new Honda Jazz are expected to begin soon.
Features
The new Jazz is expected to include features like touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, steering mounted controls, automatic climate control system and alloy wheels.
