Auto enthusiasts in India have heard plenty about the upcoming new Jazz from the house of Honda. New Honda Jazz, the latest in the premium hatchback segment, is all set to hit the showrooms in July.
Although the exact launch details of the New Honda Jazz is yet to be made public, the rumours doing the rounds on the web suggest that Honda will pull the wraps off its much awaited hatchback on 8 July. The company has recently released several images and a teaser video of Honda Jazz; and now to tickle the auto lovers' fancy once again before the arrival of the model in the market, here comes a fresh batch of spy shots from Car Dekho.
The latest images of new Honda Jazz shows the touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth, DVD/CD, USB and AUX-In connectivity, confirming that the model will get City inspired interior. The infotainment system will also get Satellite navigation.
Previous spy shots of the interior of New Honda Jazz had revealed steering mounted controls and automatic climate control system. The 2015 Honda Jazz will be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options in the country. Under the hood, the new Jazz in India is expected to get a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that powers Amaze and Brio that can generate power of 87bhp with a torque of 110Nm at 4,800rpm and a 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel motor that can pump 100PS of power and 200Nm torque. The petrol version would come fitted with CVT and paddle shifters.
Based on Honda's 'Exciting H Design' philosophy, new Honda Jazz premium hatchback will be pitted against Hyundai's Elite 20 and Maruti Swift in India. In its second comeback new Jazz is expected to get a price tag in range of ₹5 to ₹7.5 lakh with 90 percent localisation.
From what we know so far, Honda has begun dispatching new Jazz to its dealers in the country and the bookings are expected to open shortly.
