While the auto-enthusiasts in India eagerly await the official launch of new 2015 Jazz, the rumour mills are busy spinning more stories about the features and pricing details of the highly anticipated model.
The new Jazz from the house of Honda has been in the spotlight for quite a while now and the car was caught on camera while testing numerous times in India as well as outside the country. Now the latest interesting tidbit on the new Jazz from the folks at AutoCar India reveals that the new model will also be offered in CVT option in India.
The 2015 Honda Jazz is expected to get power from the same 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that powers Amaze and Brio, which can generate a power of 87bhp, with a torque of 110Nm at 4,800rpm and 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel motor that can pump 100PS of power and 200Nm torque. Now the latest is that the petrol Jazz will also be offered with optional CVT gearbox which is seen in Honda City.
Honda India is expected to bring the new Jazz to the market by June this year and the model is likely to fall in the price range of ₹5 lakh to ₹8 lakh.
In India, the new 2015 Jazz is likely to be offered in five variants ― EMT, SMT, SVMT, VMT and VXMT― and will be pitted against Maruti Suzuki Swift, Nissan Micra, Volkswagen Polo and Hyundai i20.
