Honda's highly-anticipated premium hatchback Jazz is set to be launched in India on 8 July, according to a report.
Although Honda has confirmed the launch of the new Jazz in July in its teaser, the date was kept under wraps. Now, a new report in ET Auto, citing sources close to the development, claims the all-new Honda Jazz will be launched on 8 July. Further, the report says the company has started adjusting the production schedule for the upcoming Jazz.The bookings for 2015 Jazz are expected to begin soon in the country.
Honda Jazz, the model which will rival Maruti Swift and Hyundai Elite i20, will be offered in both diesel and petrol engine options. Under the hood, the petrol Jazz is likely to pack the same 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that powers Amaze and Brio, which can generate a power of 87bhp with a torque of 110Nm at 4,800rpm, and the model is expected to get CVT gearbox .The diesel Jazz is speculated to have 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel motor that can pump 100PS of power and 200Nm torque.
The features expected in the 2015 Jazz include touchscreen, steering mounted controls, and alloy wheels. The new Jazz will be taking on the likes of Nissan Micra and Volkswagen Polo, and in its come back avatar , the new Jazz is expected to get a price tag of around ₹5- ₹7.5 lakh.
