A new glitch in the Windows Store has been discovered and this bug seemingly allows users of Windows 10 Mobiles to stream Xbox One games directly to their mobile devices.
As per Windowsreport, owners of Windows Phones with Windows 10 Mobile can check out the above functionality by downloading and installing the Xbox Dev Mode Companion application that is mainly used by Windows 10 app developers to remotely stream Xbox stuff onto PCs running the Windows 10 operating platform.
Now, Windowsreport (quoting unnamed gamers) states that Windows 10 Mobile users can also make use of Xbox Dev Mode Companion app in order to stream Xbox One games to their mobile phones. However, this feature has not been officially acknowledged by Microsoft and as of now it seems that there is a glitch that allows streaming of Xbox One stuff to Windows 10 Mobiles.
Nonetheless, gamers can check out the below steps to try and stream Xbox One games to Windows 10 Mobile devices:
- After downloading and installing Xbox Dev Mode Companion, launch the app.
- After the application is launched, you should see the app listing in Windows Store, then initiate a search for a free application.
- Download and install this free application. Immediately press the back button in your mobile phone. This reportedly ensures that the Xbox Dev Mode Companion app resides within your device.
- Then use Xbox Dev Mode Companion app to connect to the Xbox One device. If the console is not detected automatically, try a manual interface via the physical IP address of the device.
Do let us know if you encountered the above glitch in any form, and if you could stream Xbox One games to Windows 10 Mobile phones.
