Ford India, which launched its new Figo hatchback in the country earlier this week, is reportedly planning to export the new offering to 50 markets.
A report in Indian Autos Blog, citing Nigel Harris, president and managing director of Ford India, reveals that that new Figo made-in-India will be exported to 50 markets and the company is also considering Europe market for the new hatchback. Ford currently exports made-in-India EcoSport to Europe.
Launched in India on 23 September, New Ford Figo has three engine options -- 1.2-litre petrol, 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. Under the hood, the vehicle has a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder petrol motor, which can dish out 88 PS and 112 Nm of torque or a 1.5-litre petrol that can make 112 PS and 136 Nm of torque or a 1.5-litre diesel mill that can churn out 100 PS and 215 Nm of torque. In India, the new Figo is available in seven exterior body shades: Oxford white, tuxedo black, ruby red, sparkling gold, ingot silver, smoke grey and deep impact blue.
The new Ford Figo hatch petrol has been priced at Rs 4.29 lakh, while the diesel Figo gets a price tag of Rs 5.29 lakh.
