Coolpad has so far had the best of its journey in India as it successfully penetrated through the wildly competitive smartphone market. After the Chinese smartphone maker made its debut with the Coolpad Note 3 in India, the company quickly gained popularity for offering premium features at an affordable price point. It has since expanded its portfolio with some notable devices and is not even close to done yet.
Coolpad has confirmed that a new smartphone is set to be launched in India and the company is sending out invites for a launch event to be held on September 23. The upcoming smartphone is being teased as "Beast among the best," which is building excitement among fans.
The new handset is expected to feature effortless design, intelligent technology and best price. It will be the latest Coolpad Note smartphone, succeeding the likes of Coolpad Note 3, Note 3 Lite and Note 3 Plus. In one of many teasers on the company's official Facebook page, the new handset is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
The most recent teaser with the hashtag #BeastAmongTheBest has a number 5, which is widely associated with a massive 5,000mAh battery. And the term, beast, in all of its teasers, could be a reference to the lasting battery, high-end CPU or higher RAM for multi-tasking.
In a brief post on Tuesday, Coolpad recalled the success of its Note series and hinted at what's more to come.
"With the magnificent response to our Coolpad Note series, we were further inspired to develop more top-of-the-line gadgets. We are humbled by your love and support in our journey so far. We aim to keep up with our vision to provide affordable technology to you and contribute to the progress of this nation."
"Yet another feather on the cap - Beast Among The Best is on the way! Brace yourselves :)," Coolpad wrote.
Coolpad is keeping the specs of the upcoming Note smartphone a secret until its official launch, but the polls on its forums suggest a 4GB RAM is likely to be offered. And considering the current industry standards and competition from the likes of Asus, Gionee, Panasonic and LeEco, the new smartphone is said to be priced well under Rs. 10,000. Stay tuned for updates.
