It looks like the Pune-based two-wheeler Bajaj is getting ready to launch the updated version of the Pulsar RS 200 in India soon. If the emerging reports are to be believed, the new Pulsar RS 200 will be launched in the country by the end of 2016.
In the new avatar, the Pulsar RS 200 is likely to retain the design and styling of the current model and may include the introduction of the BS-IV engine. The current Pulsar RS 200 is powered by 199.5cc single cylinder, 4 stroke and SOHC 4valve, liquid cooled engine, which is tuned to churn out 24.1bhp of power at 9,750rpm and 18.6Nm of torque at 8000rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed transmission.
The new Pulsar RS 200 could also get ABS as standard and is also likely to include more colour option in its line-up. Currently offered in Demon Black and Yellow options, the Pulsar RS 200 was recently also spied in two-tone Red and White livery. Other features of the Pulsar RS 200 are likely to stay intact in the updated avatar. The Pulsar RS 200 comes with twin projector headlamps, crystal LED tail lights, ABS and stubby exhaust, digital-analogue instrument cluster, split seats and clip-on handlebars.
Bajaj is also working to bring the updated version of its Pulsar range by 2017. The new Pulsar range of Bajaj is expected to come after the launch of the Kratos VS400, the power cruiser of the company. The Kratos VS400 is slated for its launch in the country in November.
