In what appears to be the updated Bajaj Pulsar 220F, a fresh batch spy shots of the models has started making the rounds on the internet. It lends credence to previous reports that the Pune-based two-wheeler maker will introduce the new range of Pulsars in India by the end of 2016.
The folks at AutoProMag have released probably the first set of images of the new updated Pulsar 220F, which shows the model with new dual-tone colour scheme. Other notable changes in the new Pulsar 220F include rim decals, new black exhaust with chrome highlighting and blue instrument console light. The Pulsar 220F's auto-choke has been replaced with a manual one in its new avatar.
The Pulsar 220F in its new avatar is likely to be powered by the same 4-stroke, DTS-i, oil cooled, single cylinder 220cc unit that generates 20bhp of power and 19.12Nm of torque.
The engine is likely to be upgraded to comply with BS-IV norms. From what we hear, the new Bajaj Pulsar 220F is likely to be launched in India in November and is likely to be followed by the updated models of the Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 180.
It is also being said that the company may consider safety features such as combined braking system (CBS) and anti-skid braking system (ABS). However, that was not evident in the latest images.
Apart from the updated Pulsar range, Bajaj is also expected to launch its power cruiser the Kratos VS400. Kratos VS400, the new flagship model from Bajaj, is poised for its market launch in India in November. It is expected to come powered by a 373cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve triple-spark, fuel-injected mill mated to six-speed transmission. The engine is expected to pump in a power of 40bhp and 30Nm of peak torque.
