Bajaj Auto is geared up to launch the new range of Pulsar models in India before year-end. The updated Pulsar 150, Pulsar 180 and Pulsar 220 will replace the existing range.
While details about the upcoming new Pulsar range are scanty at this point in time, a report of Auto Car India says that the models would stay close to their current styling and design. From the word around the internet, updated Pulsar 150, Pulsar 180 and Pulsar 220 would get refined engine, which would be tuned to deliver better fuel efficiency than the existing models.
The Pune-based two-wheeler maker is also likely to give cosmetic upgrades such as new body decals and graphics. The company is also reportedly considering safety features such as combined braking system (CBS) and anti-skid braking system (ABS).
Bajaj Pulsar 150 is now powered by a 4-stroke, DTS-i, air cooled, single cylinder 149cc engine, which can churn out 14bhp of power and 12.5Nm of torque. On the other hand, Pulsar 180 gets a 4-stroke, DTS-i, air cooled, single cylinder 178.6 cc mill that is tuned to churn out 16bhp along with 14.22Nm of torque. Pulsar 220 comes with a 4-stroke, DTS-i, oil cooled, single cylinder 220cc unit that generates 20bhp of power and 19.12Nm of torque.
The updated Pulsar models are expected to follow the launch of the company's much-awaited model, VS400. VS400, which is also known as Pulsar VS400, is scheduled to be launched in the country in November.
