Finally, motor enthusiasts are close to the launch of the much awaited new Bajaj Avenger. Now, ahead of the launch of the new Bajaj Avenger in India, Bajaj Auto has put up the microsite for the new cruiser, confirming that the new Avenger series will hit Indian roads on 27 October.
The website has officially kick-started the countdown for the company's new Avenger, which is scheduled to break its cover in India on 27 October with the tagline "Feel like God arriving on 27". Bajaj Auto is expected to be readying three new Avenger models for the Indian market - Avenger 220 Street, 220 Cruise and Avenger 150.
While the first two - Avenger 220 Street, 220 Cruise - have already been confirmed through spy shots and leaked reports, the third 150cc variant is yet to be seen.
The Bajaj Avenger 220 Street and 220 Cruise, as the names indicate, are expected to come powered by the same 220cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine that powers the current model. It has the capacity to churn out 19bhp at 8,400rpm and 17.5Nm of torque at 7,000rpm.
As for styling, from the previous spy shots, Bajaj Avenger Street apparently gets black colour treatment with new black alloys, black engine and a black exhaust, and the Avenger Cruise is likely to get a new paint job and graphics.
