The Facebook account of Bajaj Avenger has teased the images of the upcoming Avenger with the tagline 'Stunning New Avengers', confirming that there is more than one variant. Bajaj Auto will pull the wraps off its new 2015 Avenger series in India on 27 October (Tuesday).
Although the company did not divulge the details, the various leaks and spy shots suggest that there are three variants of Avenger - Avenger 220 Street, Avenger 220 Cruise and Avenger 150.
For the uninitiated, Bajaj Avenger 220 Street and 220 Cruise are expected to be to be powered by the same 220cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine of the current one in the market. Currently, the cruiser Avenger draws power from a 220cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine sourced from Pulsar 220 capable of churning out 19bhp at 8,400rpm and 17.5Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. The new 150 cc variant is expected to get the Bajaj Pulsar 150's 149cc 4-stroke, DTS-i, air cooled, single cylinder mill which can dish out 14.8bhp of power and 12.5Nm of torque.
As for styling, while the Avenger 220 Street and 220 Cruise are likely to have a new paint job and graphics, the Avenger Street is expected to sport new black colour.
