Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos has officially confirmed that Daredevil Season 3 will air before the end of this year. Along with Daredevil, Sarandos also shed light on other series that will be premiered in the last quarter.
"We've got new seasons coming up, in the second half this year, Orange is the New Black, Ozark, Iron Fist, Daredevil, Narcos, the finale of House of Cards, the follow-up series of Making a Murderer."
Fans won't have to wait much longer to see Daredevil season 3. However, many are wondering whom they might get to see as the main villain in the upcoming season.
Netflix's Daredevil season 3 features Charlie Cox in the lead role of Matt Murdock aka Daredevil. The show gained widespread popularity because of the dark theme and the antagonists that are known to have their own ideologies.
Daredevil season 1 featured Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin as the main villain of the series. Daredevil season 2 showed Frank Castle aka The Punisher and Élodie Yung as Elektra fighting together with Matt. So, which new Marvel character is going to feature in Daredevil season 3?
Netflix's superhero series created by Drew Goddard, features Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer-by-day who becomes a vigilante at night. Daredevil season 1 was released in 2015 and has managed to gain praise from the fans for its action sequences and the depiction of a sinister theme.
In 2016, Charlie talked about the inclusion of Marvel's Bullseye in the series. During a telephonic conversation with Screen Rant, he stated that Bullseye is one of the most important characters from the comic book and at one point or the other, Daredevil has to meet him face-to-face.
"I can't imagine doing a run of Daredevil where Bullseye doesn't show up at some point. Who would play that part I have no idea but I just think there's such an interesting, rich character there, and also, of course, the history that Bullseye has with Karen Page is an interesting dynamic," he said during that time.
Arazi, Charlie's personal trainer, recently shared an image on his Instagram, showing him training alongside Charlie and Wilson Bethel. Washington tagged the post and said #Daredevil and #Bullseye.
The news of Wilson joining the cast of Daredevil surfaced last year but if rumours are to be believed, instead of a mysterious FBI role, Bethel might be seen playing Bullseye. However, it is yet to be confirmed but fans cannot wait to see Matt Murdock fighting Bullseye in Daredevil season 3.
