Netflix April 2016 releases: 'The Shawshank Redemption,' 'Minions,' 'How To Get Away With Murder,' other shows and movies on instant streaming

Netflix has given TV buffs enough and more reasons this month to sit back and enjoy a good dose of entertainment. And looking at the list, it looks like the instant streaming site has got the assortment pretty much sorted.

Don't feel like going to office? We suggest log on to Netflix as this month's list boasts interesting TV shows and movies, which include "Minions," "How To Get Away With Murder," "The Shawshank Redemption" and "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt."

With a whole list of new titles, it's obvious that some old ones will be taken down. If you still haven't watched these, then we suggest you catch up on titles including "2 Fast 2 Furious," "Along Came Polly," "101 Dalmatians," "Mr Bean's Holiday" and many others that will be taken off the site in April 2016.

Our recommendations

Minions: Everyone's favourite single-celled yellow creatures will debut on Netflix this month. The spin-off/prequel to "Despicable Me" franchise, "Minions," follows the story of minions Stuart, Kevin and Bob, who are recruited by Scarlet Overkill, a super-villain who, along with her inventor husband Herb, hatches a plot to take over the world.

How To Get Away With Murder: One of the most popular dramas on television, this one is about Annalise Keating, a lawyer, who teaches a class titled "How to Get Away with Murder" from which she selects the brightest students to assist her in cases at the firm in which she works.

The Shawshank Redemption: This is undoubtedly one of the best crime dramas. It features Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbin as two imprisoned men, who bond over a number of years, finding solace and eventual redemption through acts of common decency.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: A hilarious American sitcom created by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, which was sold to Netflix by NBC after the first season. The series follows the life of a woman, who is rescued from a doomsday cult and starts life over again in New York City.
