Quake evacuees in Kathmandu who have been staying in temporary housing and tents, ran out into open ground on Tuesday (12 May) as another earthquake struck Nepal.
At least four people were killed in a central Nepal town on Tuesday (12 May) after a 7.4 earthquake shook the Himalayan nation, just weeks after a devastating quake killed more than 8,000 people and damaged hundreds of thousands of buildings.
In Kathmandu, volunteer Sony Southen ushered evacuees, including people with babies and injured people, onto an open field.
I think its a really big hit of earthquake, because the gate has also slanted, and every pole was moving like that, like they will fall again, thats the thing right now, she said.
The US Geological Survey said Tuesdays earthquake was centred about 42 miles west of the town of Namche Bazar, close to Mount Everest and the border with Tibet. The quake was felt as far away as New Delhi in India and Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
