'Nenu Sailaja' final total WW collections; Ram's film turns 1st superhit Telugu film of 2016

Ram's "Nenu Sailaja" has made a superb collection at the worldwide box office in its life run. The Ram Pothineni and Keerthi Suresh starrer has become the first superhit Telugu film of 2016.

"Nenu Sailaja" was released in over 500 cinema halls around the world amidst a lot of hype and expectations on 1 January. The movie had a fare amount of advance booking for its opening day. Despite clashing with another new release "Abbayitho Ammayi," the film did fantastic collection and became the biggest opener for actor Ram.

The Kishore Tirumala-directed romance drama garnered positive talk from the viewers and the word of mouth took its business upwards on the following days. The movie did decent collection at the box office in the first and second week. Sankranti releases like "Nannaku Prematho," "Dictator," "Soggade Chinni Nayana" and "Express Raja" completely slowed its business in its third week.

"Nenu Sailaja" maintained rock-steady in few cinema halls after the third week and completed 50 days. The movie has collected a total of Rs 31.95 crore gross at the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana box offices in its life-time. It has earned Rs 16.78 crore for its distributors of the region.

The Ram Pothineni starrer has raked Rs 8.15 crore gross in Karnataka, the USA and other parts of the globe. "Nenu Sailaja" has collected a total of Rs 40.10 crore gross at the worldwide box office in its life-time. The movie has fetched Rs 20.70 crore to its global distributors.
