The first poster of Sonam Kapoor starrer "Neerja" is finally out.
The poster showcases Sonam as Pan Am flight attendant Neerja Bhanot, who bravely faces a gun to her forehead.
Sonam, who plays the titular role in the film, took to Twitter to share the poster. "And here it is : The first poster of #Neerja. So proud! Film out on Feb 19," tweeted Sonam.
Directed by Ram Madhvani, "Neerja" is a biopic on the brave air-hostess, Neerja Bhanot, who lost her life saving the passengers on board the ill-fated Pan Am Flight 73, which was hijacked by terrorists on 5 September, 1986. Neerja (22) became the youngest person to receive Ashok Chakra, India's highest civilian award for bravery.
"It is important that this story is told. It is about this girl, the youngest civilian who got Ashoka Chakra. She was a normal girl. She did a bit of modelling. She had the courage to save the world," Sonam had earlier told PTI.
Produced by Fox Star Studios and Bling Unplugged, "Neerja" also features Shabana Azmi in an important role. Music composer Shekhar will be seen making his acting debut in "Neerja".
Ever since the impressive trailer released, it has raised the curiosity among the movie-goers, who are eagerly waiting for the flick to release on 19 February.
