After directing National Award winning film Neerja, Ram Madhvani is set to helm a web series, which will be scripted by Adman and lyricist Prasoon Joshi and produced by Amazon.
Titled Bodhi Dharma, the web series will be an expensive project and buzz is that it will be on the lines of Hollywood's widely popular series Game of Thrones, DNA reported.
While the news may shock the readers, many Indian directors have been mulling over making the Indian version of Game of Thrones or shows similar to the popular Hollywood series for long.
Last year, there were reports that television producer /director Vikas Gupta was set to shoot the Indian version of the popular series.
In fact, he had also titled the show Rani Mahal and names like Sakshi Tanwar of Bade Achhe Lagte Hain fame, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actress Anita Hassanandani, Ankita Lokhande of Pavitra Rishta fame were linked with the show. However, Rani Mahal had been kept on hold after a prolonged delay and no updates have been out regarding the same.
In other news, web series have been the latest trend in India. A list of web series has already made its way to the internet including Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar's Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat, while many others are lined up.
