Public sector enterprise National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) said on Wednesday that it secured an order valued at Rs 2,149 crore to redevelop Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
In a regulatory filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the company said that the order from the India Trade Promotion Organisation, Department of Commerce, government of India, entails redevelopment of exhibition halls, convention facility and creation of additional facilities.
Early this month, NBCC bagged an order valued at Rs 294.78 crore from IIT, Mandi, for the construction of auditorium, academic block, guest house and hospital at the institute's premises.
In December 2015, the company belonging to the ministry of urban development secured orders valued at Rs 8,523 crore.
The NBCC stock was trading at Rs 968.40 at around 2.40 pm on Wednesday, up 4.02% from its previous close.
The S&P BSE Sensex was trading at 24,539.34, up 53 points, or 0.22%, led by NTPC, Dr Reddy's Laboratories and Tata Steel.
The NSE Nifty was trading at 7,449.35, up 0.20%.
