The Golden State Warriors were impressive in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, against Cleveland Cavaliers, and they will once again look to dominate proceeding in Game 2 on Sunday. Cleveland, on the other hand, will hope to emerge victorious and level the best-of-seven series final, which makes will make contest even more interesting.
Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, who scored 28 and 38 points in Game 1, proved to be the major difference between the two teams. The Cavaliers will have plans to tackle Warriors' duo. If the duo shines once again in Game 2, the problem will only multiply for the Cavs.
The Warriors have been such a quality unit in the Playoffs, and are unbeaten so far. It would take something special from Cavaliers to beat Curry's side. The Cavaliers trio of LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love were good in Game 1, but they need other players like Tristan Thompson, JR Smith and Deron Williams to contribute more.
If Cavs are to emerge victorious, they also need to make sure that they are tight on Curry and Durant, and stop them from scoring easy baskets. The Cavs players also need to track back quickly in defence, which seems to be a concern. Warriors, who are great on fast breaks, will try and use that to their advantage on Sunday.
The Cavaliers, after losing Game 1, are not going to hit the panic button so early. Cavaliers know, they are just a game down, and they have the much needed experience to pull them through in the best of seven finals.
However, this Game 2 is massive for Cavaliers. A loss will increase pressure on them.
