Even as 2K Sports, the publisher behind "NBA 2K17," an upcoming professional basketball simulation video game from Visual Concepts, are busy developing the game and giving a final look to the list of the seven NBA star athletes who will make it to the cover of the new game. The last to be added is Chicago Bulls' Jimmy Butler.
The other athletes who have already been revealed as part of the cover start list include Karl-Anthony Towns, Andre Drummond, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.
Meanwhile, NBA 2KTV's season finale revealed some possible features that could be dunked into the "NBA 2K17" bin.
The show reiterated the availability of "NBA 2K17" for pre-ordering. Players will have three bundles to opt from:
Early Tip-Off Edition: Apart from the copy of the game, the edition is expected to feature MyTeam Bundle, includes early Tip-off access on Sept. 16, 2016, 5,000 VC and two more additional items that are going to be added at a later date
Legend Edition: Apart from the game copy, this edition is expected to feature My Team Bundle plus three packs with guaranteed Kobe as free agent card and more, Kobe poster, 2 Kobe trading cards, and Black Mamba controller skin. It includes early Tip-off access, 30,000 VC, Kobe #8 Mitchell and Ness Jersey, Kobe Hoodie, and 2K Kobe XI shoes.
Legend Edition Gold: The bundle includes the items from Legend Edition and in addition to 100,000 VC, Nike Kobe Shoe Collection and more.
The show's host spoke to Ronnie Singh, the social media manager of 2K, to get a hang of what players can expect in "NBA 2K17."
He hinted at several features being added to "NBA 2K17:"
- Timed Locker codes as per community request
- Face scan app
- Claims to have added new NBA signature animation (it is expected to have the most signature animation in any game). It is also expected to give players full control of the "get back" animations (Shot/Block celebrations), which can be controlled using the right stick.
"NBA 2K17" is expected to be released on Sept. 20, 2016 for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
