In celebration of the NBA star Stephen Curry winning this season's Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, "NBA 2K16," the professional basketball simulation video game, will be carrying Curry's player rating at an almost perfect score of 99 from May 12.
This is part of the promotion from Under Armour Basketball and is expected to be available for a limited time. Also on offer will be a shoe pack with the words "MVP" on his Under Armour shoes. This will be made available as part of the new roster update in "NBA 2K16."
"Beginning at 3 pm PST / 6 pm EST on Thursday, May 12, NBA 2K16 players will be able to download a roster update that brings Stephen's rating to 99 for 30 continuous hours, a reference to his jersey number," said a statement from the company (via Operation Sports).
Attack of the Fanboy noted that Curry was constantly outperforming his video game counterpart and 2K had to constantly make updates throughout the season to reflect his real stats. He is one of the best shooters in NBA history.
Stephen Curry was named for the MVP award for a second consecutive time.
Apart from this, Under Armour Basketball is also re-releasing the Curry One MVP and a new Curry Two MVP colorway.
2K has stated on its official Facebook page that it will be discounting "NBA 2K16" game by $30 for the next 24 hours at Best Buy.
