Nayanthara has given the green signal to work in Sivakarthikeyan's next movie, which will be directed by Mohan Raja. The news has been confirmed by the production house on Twitter.
"Proud&happy to announce #Nayanthara joins with @Siva_Kartikeyan @jayam_mohanraja @24AMSTUDIOS for our Production No:2, [sic]" said a tweet from the Twitter handle of 24AM Studios. The makers had reportedly approached three actresses to play the female lead.
"The makers were in talks with three heroines, with Nayanthara being the front-runner. Since she had previously worked with director Mohan Raja in 'Thani Oruvan', she jumped at the opportunity the moment she heard the script," a source from the film's unit told IANS.
This is the first time Nayanthara will romance Sivakarthikeyan on screen. She had earlier done a cameo in the actor's hit film "Ethir Neechal."
The upcoming movie was launched March 10 and its regular shooting will begin later this year. Mohan Raja, who is also known as Jayam Raja, has written the story and screenplay for the untitled flick. The other cast and crew are yet to be revealed.
Sivakarthikeyan is currently busy with his next flick "Remo," directed by Bhagyaraj Kannan. This romantic comedy is also being produced by RD Raja's 24AM Studios. Keerthy Suresh plays the female lead in the movie.
On the other hand, Nayanthara is busy with multiple projects. Her "Idhu Namma Aalu" with Simbu and "Thirunaal" with Jeeva are in the post-production stages. She is also shooting for Venkatesh's Telugu film "Babu Bangaram," Karthi-starrer "Kaashmora" and Vikram-starrer "Iru Mugan."
