All is not well between Simbu and Nayantara, who are working together in upcoming Tamil movie "Idhu Namma Aalu". The lead actors are at loggerheads over the issue of remuneration.
DNA reports that Nayantara has not been paid her remuneration as yet. The shooting of the film, which is being produced by the actor's father -- T Rajender, is almost complete as only one song is left to be filmed. Now, the actress is refusing to allot dates for the shooting of the song unless her payment is cleared.
Nayantara has reportedly demanded the makers to pay her Rs 50 lakh if they want to wrap up the shooting. Irked by her stand over the issue, Simbu has reportedly filed a complaint at Nadigar Sangam.
However, rumour has it that Nayantara had given dates for shooting around eight times but the makers failed film the sequence at that time. They are now blaming the actress for being unavailable to complete the shooting.
Meanwhile, director Pandiraj has come to Nayantara's rescue and said the actress was part of the shooting for 25 days. He added that she has not been paid her remuneration, but still she did not make an issue out of it.
Pandiraj ended on the note that one song is pending for the shoot and it is a promotional track. It will feature Simbu, T Rajender, Kuralarasan and Nayantara.
"Idhu Namma Aalu" is a special movie for the Kollywood audience as Simbu and Nayantara have teamed up after a gap of eight years. The stars, who were in love earlier, broke up after dating for a few years.
Since then, they had avoided working with each other. However, Pandiraj convinced the former couple to work again as the script is tailor-made for them. "Idhu Namma Aalu" also features Andrea Jeremiah, Soori, Arjunan, Jayaprakash, Santhanam and others in the cast.
