Popular music band from Kerala, Thaikkudam Bridge, is all set to perform at St Teresa's College in Kochi on Friday, 9 January at 5.30 pm. The music event is organised as part of the Navathy (90 years) celebrations of the college.
In this Navathy year, the college management and students' union have planned to provide scholarships to 90 economically backward students of the college for the next 10 years. Along with the contribution from the alumni and other students of the college, the fund collected from the concert too will be used for this purpose.
The tickets for the event are available at the college campus, Muthoot Fincorp Panampilly Nagar, Ravipuram and Edapally offices.
St Teresa's College, named after St Teresa of Avila and under the patronage of Archdiocese of Verapoly, was established on 15 June, 1925 as the first aided women's college in Kerala. The college, which has NAAC A+ accreditation, also received autonomous status in 2014 by University Grants Commission (UGC).
Many celebrities like KR Gowri Amma, Mercy Williams, Mercy Ravi, Jancy James, singer Sujatha Mohan, Ranjini Jose, actresses Asin Thottungal, Samvrutha Sunil, Amala Paul, Meera Nandan, Poornima Indrajith, Divya Unni, Ramya Nambeeshan and Ranjini Haridas are former students of this prestigious institution.
