Ayushmann Khurrana starrer "Nautanki Saala" has topped this week's collection chart with a whopping ₹13.25 crore. The romantic comedy film directed by Rohan Sippy has witnessed a huge jump over the weekend and went ahead in the race with "Commando".
The three day breakup of the film is: Friday ₹3.69 crore, Saturday ₹4.75 crore and Sunday ₹5.25 crore, according to trade analyst and film critic Taran Adrash.
"#NautankiSaala showed very good growth on Sat. Multiplexes of urban centres witnessed big jump," Adarsh tweeted earlier.
The film dominated multiplexes on the opening day and witnessed a huge jump in business in urban centres over the weekend. After a decent collection on Friday, the film's earnings on Sunday soared.
The film made with a budget of around ₹15 crore, has already collected ₹13 crore in three days. If the film continues at its present pace, then it will be another hit film of the year after "Chashme Baddor".
The film is getting tough competition from Vidyut Jamwal's action thriller "Commando" at the domestic box office. But Rohan Sippy's comedy of errors is slightly ahead in the race.
"Nautanki Saala" received positive reviews from critics and Ayushmann is happy with the response.
"Lots of praises and some criticism. Loved your feedback. Let this be your 'nautanki' Sunday. 'Nautanki Saala!'," he tweeted on Sunday.
The romantic comedy film also features Kunal Roy Kapoor, Pooja Salvi and Evelyn Sharma in lead roles. Abhishek Bachchan has a special appearance in the flick.
"Nautanki Saala" is inspired from French film "Apres Vous" meaning 'After You'.
