National Film Awards (Malayalam): Twitterati Congratulate Gopi Sunder, Sidhartha Siva and Jayaraj [PHOTOS]

The winners of the 62nd National Film Awards have been announced. 

While Kannada actor Vijay of "Nanu Avanalla Avalu" has been selected as the best actor, "Queen" actress Kangana Ranaut will get the best actress award.

Two Malayalam films, Sidhartha Siva's "Ain" and Jayaraj's "Ottaal" have also found a place in the prestigious awards list.

While actor Sidhartha's directorial venture "Ain" has been selected as Best Malayalam Film, Jayaraj's "Ottal" has been adjudged Best Film on Environment Conservation/ Preservation.

Actor Mustafa got the jury's special mention for his performance in the Malayalam film "Ain".

Popular music composer Gopi Sunder has been recognised in the best Background Score category for the film "1983". 

Joshi Mangalath ("Ottal") has also been recognised in the Best Screenplay category.

Popular vocalist and national award winning singer P Unnikrishnan's 8-year-old daughter Uthara Unnikrishnan has been declared the Best Female playback singer for the Tamil song "Azhagu" ("Saivam").

After the National awards list was announced, Gopi Sunder expressed his happiness and dedicated his award to the whole team of Nivin Pauly starrer "1983".
