Director Sukumar's "Nannaku Prematho" starring Junior NTR and Rakul Preet Singh has successfully completed the 50-day run in over 16 cinema halls and created some brand new collection records at the worldwide box office.
The Junior NTR and Rakul Preet Singh starrer was released in 1,800 screens around the world on Jan. 13. "Nannaku Prematho" has become the fifth biggest release in Tollywood, after "Baahubali: the Beginning," "Srimanthudu," "Bruce Lee: The Tiger" and "Rudramadevi."

"Nannaku Prematho" is one of the big-ticket Telugu movies of 2016 and it has been made with a whopping budget of Rs 45 to 50 crore. Its global theatrical rights were sold for a record price of Rs 51.50 crore, which is the highest price for the distribution rights for a Telugu film starring Junior NTR.
The Sukumar-directed family drama film has received fantastic opening and collected Rs 24.45 crore gross at the worldwide box office on the first day of its release. "Nannaku Prematho" has become the biggest opener for Junior NTR. The movie has turned out to be the fourth biggest opener in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and the third biggest Tollywood opener at the worldwide box office.
Having garnered positive response from the audience, "Nannaku Prematho" maintained rock-steady and did well at the ticket counters in the first week. Despite clashing with new releases, the movie has fared well in the following weeks. The film has collected approximately Rs 82 crore gross at the worldwide box office in 50 days. It is estimated to have earned Rs 51.64 crore to its distributors.
"Nannaku Prematho" stands out as the highest grossing Telugu film of 2016. It has become the first film of Junior NTR to join the club of Telugu movies that have earned Rs 50+ crore share. The film has collected $2,019,211 at the US box office and become the third Telugu movie to cross $2-million mark in the country. It has also turned out to be the third highest grossing Tollywood film in the country.
