Junior NTR's "Nannaku Prematho", which hit the theatres as Sankranti treat for fans, is reportedly releasing in more number of screens than "Dictator", "Soggade Chinni Nayana" and "Express Raja".
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana reportedly have 500 centres with 1,500 screens. Since four big ticket movies like "Nannaku Prematho", "Dictator", "Soggade Chinni Nayana" and "Express Raja" are slated to hit the screens during this Sankranti, the distributors are said to be finding it difficult to accommodate a decent number of theatres for each of these films.
The distributors are vying with each other for cinema halls, especially in Hyderabad, which has some of the highest valued theatres. Abhishek Pictures, Indra Films, Dil Raju and Global have acquired the distribution rights of "Nannaku Prematho", "Dictator", "Soggade Chinni Nayana" and "Express Raja" for this area respectively. Abhishek Pictures succeeded in booking highest number of theatres for Junior NTR's film.
If we are to go by buzz in the T-Town, Abhishek Pictures, Reliance Entertainment and other distributors across the globe have booked over 1,700 screens for "Nannaku Prematho". Other films like "Dictator", "Soggade Chinni Nayana" and "Express Raja" will be released in around 800-900, 500-600 and 300-400 cinema halls respectively.
Except "Naanaku Prematho", other movies have already cleared the formalities of the Censor Board. "Dictator" and "Soggade Chinni Nayana" have been awarded 'U/A' certificates, while "Express Raja" bagged clean 'U' certificate. "Soggade Chinni Nayana" hits the screens on 15 January, while other two films will be released on 14 January.
However, the shooting of "Nannaku Prematho" was wrapped up on 4 January and its post-production works are currently going on in full swing. The buzz is the makers have planned to hold a special screening for the officials of the Censor Board on 8 January. They are hoping to get a clean 'U' certificate without any cut.
