Junior NTR's "Nannaku Prematho" continues its dream at the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (AP/T) box office on the weekdays too and is now inching closer to the Rs 50 crore crore.
"Nannaku Prematho" was released as Sankranti treat in 1,150 screens in the two Telugu states on 13 January. The movie, which recorded a huge amount of booking, received earth-shattering response everywhere and the film collected approximately Rs 15.92 crore at the AP/T box office on the first day. Having earned a share of Rs 12.18 crore, the flick became the biggest opener for Junior NTR.
The Sukumar-directed family entertainer clashed with other new releases like "Dictator", "Express Raja" and "Soggade Chinni Nayana", which took a toll on its business in the following days. The film grossed approximately Rs 35.10 crore at the AP/T box office in the five-day first weekend and fetched Rs 25.23 crore to its distributors becoming the third highest grosser in the opening weekend.
The Junior NTR and Rakul Preet Singh starrer witnessed over 50% drop in its collection on Monday and its business continued to drop on Tuesday. On these two days, "Nannaku Prematho" has collected approximately Rs 4 crore gross at the AP/T box office, taking its seven day gross total to Rs 39.10 crore. With two days left for the film to complete its opening week, it is likely to reach Rs 44 crore.
"Nannaku Prematho" is estimated to have earned Rs 27.78 crore for its distributors in the Telugu states. The movie has been made on whopping budget of Rs 50 crore and has fetched Rs 39.80 crore to its producers from the sale of its theatrical rights in Telugu states. The film has recovered 68% of the investment in seven days.
