Junior NTR's "Nannaku Prematho" has collected Rs 68.67 crore gross at the worldwide box office in the nine-day extended first week. The movie has become highest grosser for Young Tiger.
"Nannaku Prematho" opened to a massive response on 13 January and became the third-biggest Tollywood opener in the global market. The word of mouth was expected to take its business upwards, but its collection was affected by "Dictator", "Express Raja" and "Soggade Chinni Nayana" on the following days.
The Junior NTR and Rakul Preet Singh-starrer collected Rs 34.80 crore gross at the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (AP/T) box office in the extended five-day first weekend. The movie then saw a steep decline, with its collection reaching Rs 5.50 crore on the weekdays. "Nannaku Prematho" is estimated to have collected a total of Rs 40 crore gross at the AP/T in the nine-day extended first week.
The theatrical rights of the film in AP/T have fetched Rs 39.80 crore for its producers. "Nannaku Prematho" is estimated to have earned Rs 28.58 crore for its distributors in its opening week. The movie has recovered 75% of their investments in the nine days. Since there are no new releases, the film is expected to return the remaining amount to the investors and earn them profits in its second week.
"Nannaku Prematho" has also received record-breaking response in Karnataka, the US and other parts of the globe, grossing Rs 25.17 crores in these areas on its opening weekend. It saw a steep decline everywhere on the weekdays, with its four-day gross reaching Rs 3.50 crore. The Sukumar-directed family drama has collected Rs 28.67 crore gross in these areas in nine days.
"Nannaku Prematho" is estimated to have collected approximately Rs 68.67 crore gross at the worldwide box office in the first week. The movie has earned over Rs 45 crore for its distributors in nine days. It is likely to cross the Rs 100-crore mark in its second week.
