Nannaku Prematho 1st day box office collection: Jr NTR's film turns 3rd biggest opener after Baahubali, Srimanthudu

Junior NTR's "Nannaku Prematho" has made fantastic collection at the worldwide box office on the first day. The film has become the third biggest opener of all time after "Baahubali" and "Srimanthudu".

Before its release, "Nannaku Prematho" had a huge amount of hype and promotion and it was the never-before-seen stylish look of Junior NTR that had made the audience wait desperately for its release. The viewers' curiosity made the film get a massive amount of advance booking of its opening day.

CineGalaxy Inc, which has acquired its overseas distribution rights, released "Nannaku Prematho" in 192 screens in North America alone and other 100+ screens in other key international markets on Wednesday. They also premiere shows in several locations on Tuesday night and the movie received good response everywhere.

"Nannaku Prematho" opened to massive response in all the international markets on Wednesday. The movie has collected $20,6472 at the US box office in the first two shows on its opening day. Its collection is likely to inch closer to the mark of $1 million in this country alone. Its gross total from both premieres and opening day is estimated to be more than Rs 7 crore at the overseas box office.

The Sukumar-directed revenge drama has received an earth-shattering response with many theatres running to packed house in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (AP/T) on its opening day. As per early estimates, "Nannaku Prematho" has grossed approximately Rs 18+ crore at the AP/T box office on the first day. It is estimated to have fetched a share of Rs 13 crore to the distributors of these areas.

The Junior NTR and Rakul Preet Singh starrer was released in a large number of screens in Karnataka, where its screening began at 5.30 am on Wednesday. "Nannaku Prematho" registered very good amount of occupancy across the state. The film has also recorded decent amount of footfalls in other parts of the country. The film is estimated to have grossed Rs 4+ crore in these locations.

As per early estimates, "Nannaku Prematho" has collected approximately Rs 30 crore gross at the worldwide box office on the first day. The film is estimated to have fetched Rs 18+ crore to its distributors. It has become the biggest opener for Junior NTR. It has beaten the record of Pawan Kalyan's "Attarintiki Daredi" and landed in the third place in the list of all time biggest Tollywood openers.
