Junior NTR's "Nannaku Prematho" has witnessed a deep decline in its collection at the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (AP/T) box office in the second weekend. It has failed to cross the mark of Rs 50 crore gross in 12 days.
"Nannaku Prematho" received fantastic opening and did decent business on the following days. The movie raked in Rs 41.40 crore gross at the AP/T box office in its nine-day-extended first week. The film earned Rs 28.58 crore for its distributors in its opening week. Since there was no new Telugu release, it was expected to do well and surpass the mark of Rs 50 crore gross in the Telugu states.
The Sukumar-directed family revenge drama film was forced out of some cinema halls by Akshay Kumar's big ticket Bollywood movie "Airlift" and "Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3". The movie showed a huge drop on Friday and witnessed some amount of growth on Saturday and Sunday, but it was not up to the expected mark.
When compared to its opening weekend collection, the BVSN Prasad-produced film has shown around 50% drop in its business in its second weekend. "Nannaku Prematho" is estimated to have grossed approximately Rs 4.50 crore at the AP/T box office in its second weekend. The film has earned Rs 2.10 crore to its distributors.
"Nannaku Prematho" has collected approximately Rs 45.90 crore at the AP/T box office in 12 days and it is estimated to have fetched a total of Rs 30.68 crore to distributors of the regions. The distributors reportedly shelled out on Rs 39.80 crore on its theatrical rights and the film is yet to return them their investment of around Rs 9.30 crore.
"Nannaku Prematho" has also shown a drop in its business in other parts of the globe, where it is estimated to have earned Rs 1.79 crore in the second weekend. The film has earned Rs 1.04 crore to its distributors. The Junior NTR and Rakul Preet Singh starrer is estimated to have grossed a total of Rs 75.79 crore at the worldwide box office in 12 days and its distributors' share stands Rs 48 crore.
