Tollywood superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna had rocked the Telugu audience two months ago in the first season of his debut reality TV show, "Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu" ("MEK") - the Telugu version of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC).
The actor-turned-TV host is now all set to return to the small screen with season 2 of the most-sought-after game show. "MEK" has achieved remarkable success with over four crore Telugu viewers watching it during the first season, which was aired from 9 June to 7 August 2014.
Akkineni Nagarjuna's emotional attachment with the participants has reportedly resulted in the massive response from the audience. Being aired at prime time during the weekdays has also contributed to the huge popularity of the show.
Maa TV has reportedly decided to take "MEK" to the next level with its second season, in which Nagarjuna will return as its host. The registration process the second season will commence on Thursday, 9 October, at 7pm and it would continue for 10 days till Saturday, 18 October at 6:30pm.
The audience can participate in the game show through a Call for Entry (CFE) process, in which a question will be flashed on the channel at 7pm every day. Those who are interested may respond to the question before 6:30pm the next day.
"The 10-day CFE process with 10 questions provide a big chance to come to the MEK hot seat and win a maximum cash prize of Rs. 1 Crore. Telugu speaking people interested in participating in the game show can register themselves during this 10 day period either through SMS or IVRS," said a press statement released by TV channel.
