Actor Nagarjuna has revealed that he would love to enjoy two different wedding ceremonies for his sons Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni, but has asked them to decide about it.
A lot has been spoken and written about Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni's love affairs and their impending weddings with their girlfriends Samantha and Shriya Bhupal, respectively. Though Nagarjuna has confirmed his sons are in love, he has least revealed about their engagement and marriage.
Of late, it was rumoured that Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni would enter the wedlock with their girlfriends in a single wedding ceremony. But Nagarjuna slammed the reports about the joint wedding for his sons. Meanwhile, he revealed that nothing has been finalized yet and he has left it for them to decide.
"Both Naga Chaitanya and Akhil have found their soulmates. Career-wise, they are finding their individual bearings. Yes, Akhil's debut was not up to the mark. We're being very careful about his second film. It will be announced in about a month's time," Nagarjuna told Deccan Chronicle.
"No joint wedding for Naga Chaitanya and Akhil. I don't want to deprive myself the pleasure of enjoying two weddings. We haven't even fixed the dates. The decision is entirely theirs. I've never interfered in their lives, I am there to guide them when they want," the actor added.
Akkineni Nagarjuna, who was born on Aug. 29, 1959, will turn 57 this month and still has the same amount of enthusiasm about his work that he had 30 years ago. When quizzed about his birthday plans, he says he wants it to be a working day for him and he has planned to continue to shoot for the mythological drama film "Om Namo Venkatesaya." "I can't think of a better way to celebrate my birthday," he said.
The year 2016 has been a great one for Nagarjuna as his two releases "Soggade Chinni Nayana" and "Oopiri" ("Thozha" in Tamil) have become big hits at the box office. Especially, his Sankranti release has turned one of blockbuster successes of the year and it has also emerged as the highest grossing film for him. He has three projects -- "Nirmala Convent," "Om Namo Venkatesaya" and "Bangarraju" -- lined up for shoot.
