The much-awaited audio launch of "Oopiri," starring Akkineni Nagarjuna, Karthi and Tamannah Bhatia, is held in Hyderabad today. This music release function is live streamed on YouTube.
"Oopiri" is a bilingual movie, which is simultaneously shot in Tamil as "Thozha." Young music director Gopi Sunder has composed music for both the versions. The audio of its Tamil version was released by actor Suriya at a grand even held in Chennai on Feb. 26, and its songs have received good response from music lovers.
After the audio launch of "Thozha," Nagarjuna thanked Surya and Karthi for their treatment. He tweeted, "What a time i had at #Thozha audio release/thank you Chennai, Surya and Karthi/your love was overwhelming!!" A day later, he announced the date of music release of "Oopiri". He tweeted, "Coming up #Oopiri audio release on march 1st/you are going to love the songs!!!!"
Prasad V Potluri, who is producing "Oopiri" under the banner of PVP Cinema, has made grand arrangements for the event at the Hitex Convention Center. Many dignitaries from the Telugu film industry are expected to attend the event, which is aired live on Maa, TV9 and few other Telugu TV channels. It is also live streamed on the official YouTube channels of Shreyas Media and PVP Cinema.
Except Tamannaah, all the cast and crew will be present at the audio launch of "Oopri." Tamannaah tweeted this morning saying that she is not able to attend the event as she is busy with the filming for Dharma Durai. On her Twitter page, the actress wrote, "Right now I'm shooting for #dharmadurai, will not be able to attend the audio function of #Oopiri ,it's a film that's v close to my heart !"

Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, "Oopiri" is an official remake of 2011 French comedy-drama film "The Intouchables," which deals with the friendship between a wealthy quadriplegic and his caregiver. Akkineni Nagarjuna is seen playing the rich man, while Karthi appears as his assistant in the movie.
