Actor Naga Chaitanya, who is busy promoting his latest outing "Oka Laila Kosam" (OLK), has revealed the story of the film, which is slated to release in theatres worldwide on 17 October.
"OLK" is a romantic comedy entertainer, which has been written and directed by "Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde" fame Vijay Kumar Konda.
Chaitanya describes it as a feel-good love story, which is totally different from the romance dramas that he has done in the past.
In an interview to Rediff, Chaitanya spoke about the story of "OLK" and his role.
"In a relationship, the boy and the girl (Pooja Hegde) have to like each other. What if the girl doesn't like the boy? To what extent will the boy go to win the girl? That is what this film is about. Most love stories are about teenagers in college. This one is slightly mature. I play a 24-25-year-old who is getting marriage proposals he is not interested in," said the actor.
Chaitanya has played a role of a guy named Karthik in the upcoming film. Talking about his role, he further said, "He is a fun loving, light-hearted character, very giving and is willing to do anything for the people he loves - friends or family. He believes in love at first sight and is always on a journey to discover new things."
When asked about the USP of "OLK", Chaitanya said that the film is high on entertainment quotient. "First is the feel-good factor, then the entertainment aspect and finally the audience is now looking for something fresh and not the regular commercial format films. This film is not in the same old formula style," he added.
However, 2014 seems to be a very lucky year for Chaitanya as he already had two hit movies like "Manam" and "Auto Nagar Surya" for his credit. Now, he is hoping to score a hat-trick success with "OLK", which has been delayed for a long time due to some technical reasons.
With "OLK" slated to hit the screens this Friday, it should be seen whether Chaitanya will be able to rock the Telugu audience.
